Leather is a luxurious upholstery material. Quality leather will show distinctive original marks such as healed scars caused by insect bites or barbed wire. These marks attribute to the personality and uniqueness of the leather.
Taking Care Of Your Leather
Why do I need to be careful about what I apply to my fine leather?
It’s simple! Unlike any other upholstery material, leather needs to “breathe.” Cleaning compounds that are not recommended may clog pores in the leather and dry it out which can result in hairline cracks that become absorbent to spills. Like your skin, leather is vulnerable to all the elements and needs proper care. UV3’s special leather cleaning and conditioning kit makes it easy to take care of your furniture. With regular application of UV3 leather protection, your leather furniture may become softer and more supple with use.
Cleaning Your Leather
To properly maintain your leather furniture, regularly clean it with UV3 leather cleaner. Lightly spray UV3 leather cleaner on the surface of the leather and use one of the clean dry cloths provided to gently remove any dirt and soil (Additional cleaner can be purchased Marlo Furniture). Allow to dry and then apply UV3 leather conditioner.
Conditioning Your Leather
To keep your leather soft and supple, apply UV3 leather conditioner to it at time of purchase and then every 6 months thereafter (depending on usage and environmental conditions). Simply pour some leather conditioner onto the cloth and wipe over all leather surfaces. Use circular motions to help the conditioner absorb into the leather. Allow to dry and enjoy. An additional application of UV3 leather conditioner should be used on heavy use areas such as the arms, front of the seat, and headrest area.
Removing ink and lipstick
To remove ink and lipstick from your leather, gently apply the UV3 ink & lipstick remover to the stain. Remove any excess with a clean, dry cloth. Test the ink eraser in an inconspicuous area before applying to any visible surface.
DO NOT USE UV3 LEATHER PRODUCTS ON SUEDE, NUBUCK, OR UNPROTECTED LEATHER.
